‘Leo & Gang’, a Mumbai-based creative production house secures investment from New Jersey-based ‘Linus Ventures, Inc’

Leo & Gang has been bringing alive visual and on-ground experiences for national broadcasters, entertainment & tech brands, corporate houses and large retail spaces in the country.

With a three million dollar valuation ‘Leo & Gang’ secured their first round of investment from Linus Ventures, Inc. The amount remains undisclosed. Helmed by serial angel investor Sunil Mehta, New Jersey-based Linus Ventures has been progressively investing in innovative entrepreneurs and disruptive companies.

“With a proven track record over the past four years, this bootstrapped unit ensured that they remain 100% debt free with substantial capital in the bank, it felt like Leo & Gang was the perfect team to invest in as we grow our portfolio at Linus” - said Mr Mehta.

Founded by Tanmay Bahulekar in August 2014, Leo & Gang is a creative-production house that provides end-to-end solutions for visual and on-ground experiences. Having produced over 200 films for various brands like TLC, MTV, Sony Mix, Vero Moda, MissMalini, Voltas and many more, their year-old ‘experiences’ vertical is fast gaining popularity in Pune & Mumbai with a footfall of over 20,000 people across events that celebrate craft beer, music, comedy and food.

“Our idea is to merge our two core strengths, films and experiences to ensure optimised number of deliverables for all our brand partners - video content through on-ground association - both emerging from one common offline experience” says Tanmay.

“How do you push the number of revenue streams and recreate an existing business model in a market that is booming both in the corporate and consumer space, I believe these guys have that answer” - Says Mr. Mehta.

“There is a code to it, we are about the heart with a little bit of math to it” smiles Tanmay.

With the first quarter of 2019 reserved for identifying additional markets and acquisitions - ‘Leo & Gang’ is set to produce homegrown IPs in the video content space while their current offline roster weighs in with 25 experiences scheduled for the coming fiscal.
