In a move to strengthen its creative team, RepIndia has roped in Akshat Bhardwaj as creative director. Bhardwaj will closely work with Neeraj Toor, Soven Mandal, Nazneen Joshi, Neelanjan Dasgupta, Nabeel Lakhani and Aman Rawat. Before joining RepIndia, Bhardwaj was working with Interactive Avenues as creative director.
Speaking about his new role, Bhardwaj says, "Joining RepIndia was a no-brainer. What excited me most was the opportunity to establish an independent agency as a creative powerhouse that challenges the biggest agencies in the country and creates work that is at par with the best agencies of the world."
Bhardwaj has over 10 years of experience. He has won multiple awards, ranging from the Abbys to the Promotion and Marketing Awards of Asia. Bhardwaj is credited with conceptualising and scripting of one of India's most-viewed ads on YouTube - 'Do the Rex'. He has worked on some of the well-known brands including Coca Cola, Durex, Samsung and Jeep. His debut novel - 'Life is a Bitch' - is a Kindle best seller.
Commenting on Bhardwaj's appointment Ayesha Chenoy - CEO, RepIndia, says, "I have met many creative directors, but none like Akshat (Bhardwaj), who combines his skill with a degree of humility and character that leaves me speechless (which is a rare occurrence in itself). With Akshat leading the charge, I can spend time on my own book - 'Entrepreneurship is a Bitch: How I Ended up in a Psych Ward'."
Archit Chenoy - Director, RepIndia, adds, "We couldn't be happier with Akshat joining the roost. He thinks like we do and is all set to bring creativity not just to the clients and brands we represent, but internally as well, imbibing a progressive approach to our culture and creative thinking.First Published : May 16, 2019 04:10 PM
