Amazon's Meghna Apparao is now CMO, Godrej Consumer products

Meghna Apparao

Meghna Apparao has joined Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) as chief marketing officer. Prior to joining GCPL, Apparao was director, Amazon. With more than 17 years in the industry, Apparao has spent a significant part of her career at HUL (over a decade) with roles globally and in India. She is based in Mumbai.

Apparao joined HUL in 2001 as area sales and customer manager, Home and Personal Care. In 2005, she was promoted to senior regional brand manager, Asia and eventually became the global marketing director - Laundry for HUL. She was responsible for brand development - strategy, innovation and communication development and has worked in key Asian and ANZ (Australia - New Zealand) markets. She moved on from HUL in 2015 to join Amazon where she led the launch of Amazon Pantry.
