Umbrella wins a part of HDFC Bank’s assets business

The assets business is expected to gain momentum during the festive season as the maximum number of vehicle loans are taken during this time

The Mumbai-based advertising agency, Umbrella, has won a part of HDFC Bank’s assets business.

Confirming this development, Ajay Kelkar, head, marketing, retail banking, HDFC Bank, says, “Umbrella will be handling a part of our assets business, which is an important venture for us. Not only through communication, but through proactive ideas as well, Umbrella has been adding value to HDFC Bank on an ongoing basis.”

Bhupal Ramnathkar, director, Umbrella, says, “Umbrella specialises in bringing together the right talent for the right assignment. So, when we decided to work on a project for HDFC Bank, we teamed up with Parveez Shaikh and Shalini Rawla.”

Ramnathkar continues, “We went to HDFC Bank with a new product idea and creatives. A product like this has never been marketed before in the banking industry. This led us to winning a part of HDFC Bank’s assets business.”

The assets business is expected to gain momentum during the festive season as the maximum number of vehicle loans is taken during this time. The task at hand is to utilise the upcoming festive season to the maximum and ensure that the brand recall is high throughout the year.
