Happy Finish Mumbai - Celebrates its First Birthday!

Creative production studio, Happy Finish is delighted to celebrate the one year anniversary of the launch of its Mumbai Studio! The last 12 months have flown by for the studio and here we take a look back at some of the highlights.
At the start of October 2011 creative retouching duo Richard & Lianne Baker upped sticks from the UK and permanently moved out to Mumbai to head up the new team consisting of experienced UK retouchers and the best of local creative talent.
"Our first year in Mumbai has been an extremely exciting one! With all the challenges of relocating to a different culture and country, we feel we've settled in surprisingly quickly as a family. The biggest plus has been the wonderful people we have met. Everyone is so incredibly warm and welcoming. And then there's the weather.... sunshine for 9 months of the year!" explains Lianne.

Happy Finish were lucky to start their Mumbai operations with some great projects including Kingfisher calendar photographed by Atul Kasbekar and also collaborated with Saints & Warriors to help them create the visuals for the Fiat Punto campaign which involved creating an underwater 3D environment for the car & CGI creatures.

When asked of the highlights of the year, Richard responded, “One of the best parts so far has definitely been GoaFest.
It was great to meet with so many people in the creative advertising community and see the Bajaj Bulb campaign win a gold medal! Leo Burnett's creative director Prasad Patil even invited us on stage to collect the award which was a real honour. This is certainly event we look forward to going back to and hopefully will pick up more awards next year!”
“Meeting agencies in and outside of Mumbai has been awesome. No matter where, the creative’s have been very accommodating and welcoming with an enthusiastic interest in the work we are doing. The standard of work at the momentin India is really high and it is an exciting time to be here amongst such creative talent," explains operations director Rebecca Skiffins.
"Although it was quite a challanging task setting up the Mumbai office, this past year has been so rewarding for us as a company and Mumbai has now become our second home. We look forward to the year ahead!" adds director Jas Saini.
