Cardekho.com wins Website of the Year India 2014

Cardekho.com, flagship Company of GirnarSoft was announced overall winner of the ‘Website of The Year’ award at recently held 2014 edition of WOTY awards in Hyderabad. The portal was chosen for the win by Indian public because of its content, navigation, design and recommendation intention.

The overall winner of the Website of the Year – cardekho.com, is the website with the best relative review within its category. Another product from the same parent company – pricedekho.com, bagged the prize for ‘Best Website in the Comparison Category’.

A total traffic of 100 Million (10 crore) for viewing cars and bikes in 2014 was recorded representing a growth of 45% over previous year. Given the increase in number of smartphone users, post the launch of cardekho.com app, the website traffic showed a growth of 165% over previous year. A clear preference of cardekho.com app amongst users was visible as it has been downloaded by more than 600,000 people in a short span of 6 months of the release.

We had close to 3,00,000 used cars listed on our website during 2014, up by 110% from last year’s data. The leads from buyers have seen a hike of 35% from last year. Backed with a user-friendly interface, strong intent towards customer satisfaction and a design which catches user interest, cardekho.com, emerged as a true winner for this award due to the popularity gained over the period of the time.

The Website of the Year (WOTY) India election is the online public award of the year which singles out the best and most popular websites in 21 different categories like Automotive, Media, Sports and Shopping. The award is independent and objective and is organized by MetrixLab, a global provider of consumer insights and marketing analytics. This year, 252 websites were nominated in these 21 categories; more than 344,000 votes were cast between 27th October and 5th December.
