AdLift sparkled the 7th edition of iMedia with interactive panel discussion

AdLift, a global digital marketing agency having offices in both the US and India has once again enriched the industry by digging out some interesting and informative topics during the panel discussion on the impact of Influencer marketing to make a campaign viral, at the recently concluded 7th edition of iMedia, held at Alila Diwa, Goa.

This 3-day event was a mix of brands and agencies from all the parts of India. Some of the leading brands and agencies that participated include Adobe, Pepsico, Oxigen Wallet, ICICI Lombard, Asian Paints, BBC.com, Tech Mahindra, Times Internet, AdLift, and comScore. iMedia made sure that both brands and agencies took maximum time out of the 3-days by fixing the agenda. Making it extremely engaging with one-to-one meetings, presentations, panel discussions, keynote speeches and networking sessions.

Mr. Prashant Puri moderated the session titled “Cracking the Viral Code in Digital Marketing. Influencer Maximization on Viral Campaigns”. The panelists in this session were Shivanandan Pare, Head New Digital Business, ABFRL; Vani Gupta Dandia, Marketing Director, Indian Snacks, PepsiCo; Amit Ojha, Head Media, Nestlé India and Vivek Narayanan, VP, Digital Channel, ICICI Lombard.

Prashant Puri, co-founder & CEO, AdLift enriched the audience. “The success of any influencer marketing campaign depends upon the number of followers of the influencer. Our platform Yral deals with “real” influencers, i.e. celebrities who majorly have a million or more followers on their social media platforms. We recently did campaigns with YouTube sensation Pammi Aunty and other celebrities like Harbhajan Singh, Archana Vijaya, Yuvraj Singh for multiple brands.”

Vani Gupta Dandia, Marketing Director, Indian Snacks, PepsiCo shared her views at the panel, “There are three segments of consumers. One who are nuisance creators, another who want to get influenced and others that are information seekers.”

Shivanandan Pare, Head New Digital Business, ABFRL joined the panel and shared his experience on how the fashion industry is gaining through influencer marketing. He said, “Fashion and influencers are reciprocal of each other. People surely admire and get influenced by their followers on fashion statement. Influencers as Fashion designers, celebrities, at fashion shows are benchmarks for fashion followers.”

Vivek Narayanan, VP, Digital Channels, ICICI Lombard shared his thoughts said, “Social media is a progressive medium which is linked directly with the users. Anything that goes viral online is not easy to control. Therefore, the understanding of social media among people is that it is something that is earned rather than bought.”
