MTV appoints Sanjay Puthli senior V-P, advertisement sales

Puthli comes back to MTV India after a three-year gap. He was earlier heading advertising and sales network development in Singapore and Malaysia

MTV Networks India has appointed Sanjay Puthli senior vice-president, advertisement and sales. Puthli moves back to India from Singapore, where he headed advertising sales and network development in Singapore and Malaysia. Puthli was posted at MTV India earlier between 1997 and 2003 as part of the start-up team that launched MTV in India. Puthli will report to Amit Jain, managing director, MTV Networks India, and executive vice-president, MTV Networks Asia.

Puthli takes over from Nitin Jain, who put in his papers in August 2006. Mumbai born Puthli is a postgraduate in business management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute.

Jain says, “It is good to have Sanjay back in India. Given his international exposure and strong local relationships, Sanjay has a track record that is hard to beat and we’re confident of his ability to take MTV Networks’ ad sales to the next level.”
