The Indian edition of Domus will be launched in May 2011, and will be published every month.
Spenta Multimedia has announced the addition of Domus, the Italian bilingual international magazine, which covers art, architecture, and design, to its portfolio of consumer titles. Distributed in 88 countries, the magazine also has Russian, Arabic, Israeli and Chinese editions.
The Indian edition of Domus will be launched in May 2011, and will be published every month. Radhika Desai has been appointed as the editor of the magazine. The Indian edition will cover market movements in the field of art and architecture.
Bordone further adds, "We are confident that Domus, through its broad international perspective and tight integration between its various communication channels, will offer Indian professionals and academicians, a unique insight into these questions, enabling them to guide and influence new ways of living, new ways of perceiving environments, objects, cities and outlying spaces."
Says Davar, "At Spenta, we have always felt the need for an international class architecture and design magazine which will expose international trends and sub-continental directions to Indian architects and designers facing new challenges. India is poised for rapid growth in all aspects of infrastructure. Hence, there's a need for a media product, which articulates the rationale behind design. We are privileged and excited to be associated with Domus, a magazine which is iconic in its sphere, with over an eighty-year-old history of focussing on the finest aspects of design and the thought processes behind it."
