Times Television Network has roped in Ayesha Surty as head of syndication and digital revenues. Surty, who will be based in Mumbai, will focus upon building relationships and maximise revenue opportunities with content and brand presence across platforms. She will report to Avinash Kaul, CEO Zoom and ET Now.
Prior to this appointment, Surty was associate director, content sales and digital media, Imagine TV. Her mandate there was to maximise distribution and monetise all content produced by the channel brands. She was with the company for over four years.
Commenting on her appointment, Kaul says in an official communiqué, "Times Television Network has a significant presence across digital platforms and content syndication. Content of the network channels is deployed across all major digital platforms and to various national and international broadcasters. With Surty joining the network, its business will be taken to the next level, ensuring that our content is made accessible to as many people across the globe through all possible platforms."
Surty, who is an MBA with over 12 years of experience, is well-equipped with skills in management and marketing gained from exposure across the industry.
Surty began her career with Delta Air Lines where she initially handled corporate sales for the company in Mumbai, and then moved to international marketing for the Atlantic Region, covering India and Europe.
After spending seven years with the company, she moved to STAR TV, where she spent a year as senior manager marketing, before moving to Imagine TV.
