Pinxit Blue bags The Bombay Store account

The store is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year

Following a multi-agency pitch, high-end apparel-cum-accessories outlet, Bombay Store has appointed Pinxit Blue, Mumbai, as its creative and media agency for its four showrooms.

Anil Gajria, director, Pinxit Blue, says, "The client awarded the business to us on account of our focused strategy and creative approach. Our ability to apply the strategy across all media gave us an edge too."

The Bombay Store account is the latest addition to Pinxit Blue's already existing retail portfolio spanning the footwear, jewellery and supermarket industries. "Over the years, we have handled leading brands like The Loft, Just In Vogue and Haiko Supermarkets. This has intensified our understanding of the retail industry as a whole", adds Atul Kulkarni, creative director, Pinxit Blue.

The history of The Bombay Store dates back to 1905 when Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Ratanji Jamshedji Tata conceived the idea of a chain of co-operative stores across India and this year, The Bombay Store celebrates its 100th Anniversary.

With the festive season already on and the store's Anniversary celebrations that follow in December, the agency is all geared up and ready to go.

"From advertising to below-the-line activities, ours will be a 360-degree approach", Gajria concludes.
