McCann appoints Neeraj Mehra as director, knowledge management

Mehra will be based in Singapore and will work for McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific

McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific has appointed Neeraj Mehra as director, knowledge management. Singapore-based Mehra has been with McCann Worldgroup for 14 years now.

Earlier, he was the manager for knowledge management at the agency. In his new role, Mehra will act as the key information and intelligence resource for McCann at the local level and across Asia Pacific.

Very simply put, the knowledge management cell is a data-mining centre, where information on categories, trends vis-a-vis brands is processed in ready-to-use formats. The knowledge management centre at Singapore is the nodal point, where agencies in the Asia Pacific region regularly connect for sourcing data. In fact, it's not just the agencies, even clients leverage the unit's expertise

Max Gosling, regional director & Asia-Pacific head of McCann, says, "Ongoing and timely information/knowledge support is a key component of McCann's continued growth effort - both in the pursuit of new business, and mining existing clients for incremental growth."

Gosling continues, "Over the last four years, Neeraj Mehra has been doing just that and continues to do so - whether it's with business development teams on some new business pursuit, or servicing a client situation."

Mishra, in his new role, will work closely with and also report to Don Norris, as also Sattar Khan, in addition to providing day-to-day support to McCann offices, disciplines in the region, and the Singapore office where he is based, he adds.
