Kolkata-based FMCG major Emami's has awarded its creative and media duties of its soon-to-be-launched ayurvedic range to rmg david.
The ayurvedic range will be launched under the Himani umbrella brand. The size of the business is in the region of Rs 10 crore.
Aditya V Agarwal, director, Emami, explained that the company did not look at other agencies, but decided to align the business with rmg david on the basis of the agency's competent creative work on various brands.
Agarwal also informed that the new range would be officially launched between March and April 2005.
The account gain is, indeed, exciting for rmg david. And, on two accounts. First, the scope of work and second, the prestige factor. "We are really happy about the fact that the client appreciated our point of view. And what makes the win doubly exciting is the fact that a marketing savvy company such as Emami has decided to partner with us. It makes us feel very proud," says Josy Paul, country head, rmg david.
In terms of the scope for the work, the account promises to be a creatively challenging assignment. Agarwal elaborates on the task at hand for rmg david. "Right from packaging to point-of-purchase to mainstream advertising, the agency would be involved at every step of creating a successful brand launch strategy."
When quizzed about the fact on whether Emami plans to use a celebrity to launch its new range under Himani, Agarwal remained evasive. Considering that the company has recently signed up Amitabh Bachchan and earlier used Madhuri Dixit, chances of using one of the two look bright.
With this development, rmg david is now in the company of Ambience Publicis, Emami's first agency. Ambience Publicis handles Sona Chandi Chyawanprash, Amritprash, Boroplus, Himani Fast Relief and Healthy & Fair Baby massage oil.
