Square Communications bags govt's handicrafts dept account

This, according to the agency, is the first time when DC (Handicrafts) has assigned its communication job to an agency

Square Communications has bagged the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) account. The office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) functions under the Ministry of Textiles for promotion and exports of handicrafts.

DC (Handicrafts) is the central body for promoting handicrafts in India. It has representatives all over the country. It advises the Central government on matters relating to the development and exports of handicrafts and assists the respective state governments in planning and executing development schemes for handicrafts.

PR Opinion, the sister concern of the agency, will handle the public relations for DC (Handicrafts).

Navneet Kapoor, CEO, Square Communications, said, “It’s a privilege to work for DC (Handicrafts). This is the first time when DC (Handicrafts) has assigned its communication job to an agency. We have been assigned for the branding and awareness campaigns for the organisation in the domestic market first, and then take it to the global audience.”

The agency has international clients like Aigner (apparels & accessories), Clara (cosmetics), Parsvnath (builders and developers) and Sewa in real estates, Millennium Systems (computer and accessories), Mahindra & Mahindra and government bodies such as ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), EPCH (Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts) etc.

The agency, with its branch offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, has recently forayed into events through Square On Events, which successfully designed and organised the audio release of Anil Sharma’s multi-starer “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo” and the recent Indo-Pak Veterans Cricket Match 2004.
