rmg david shines with a Bronze at Clio

The agency has won the metal for its entry 'Nests' in the Public Service – Billboards category

rmg david has won a Bronze at Clio, according to advanced information coming in from South Beach, Miami, where the awards were held on Monday night. The metal was awarded for its entry 'Nests' for client World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in the Public Service – Billboards category.

The other agencies in the running for the metal were O&M – Mumbai for Fevicol Adhesive; JWT, Mumbai for Hungama TV; and Lowe, Bangalore for Britannia Chutney Bread. Till late Monday evening, it was not clear whether the other three contenders too had something to write home about.

rmg david’s creative is the handiwork of Amit Nandwani and Rohit Devgun from the agency’s Delhi office.

The outdoor had actual bird nests placed on the skeletal hoarding. The words at the bottom of the hoarding 'Plant more trees' drove home the point that birds have lost their natural habitat and thus, efforts should be made to prevent it.

The Clio makes 'Nests' the highest international award winning work from India, claims Josy Paul, country head and national creative director, rmg david. “The year has been good with three One Show nominations followed by the only D&AD nomination from India. Winning a Clio tops the list now. This also makes us the highest international award winner in India – more than the superpowers such as O&M and McCann-Erickson in India.”

The other awards to the credit of 'Nests' include One Show Pencil, London International Statue, Young Guns bronze, New York Festivals Gold and inclusion in the Communication Arts. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
