FCB Ulka Healthcare wins Digene, Brufen and Vicryl

While Brufen and Digene belong to Abbot Pharma, Vicryl is a Johnson & Johnson brand

FCB Ulka’s healthcare division, FCB Ulka Healthcare, Mumbai, has added three brands to its kitty. These include Johnson & Johnson’s sutures brand, Vicryl, and Abbot Pharma’s two brands, Brufen and Digene (which have been awarded to a healthcare agency for the first time).

For the three brands, FCB Ulka Healthcare will target doctors through contact programmes and organise various forums. The agency will also form communication strategies to further strengthen the brands and increase their market share.

Satish Ramachandran, general manager, FCB Ulka Healthcare, says, “Our biggest strength is that we possess domain expertise in India, in addition to having access to international research findings and databases from our parent company, FCB Healthcare Worldwide.”

For the record, Johnson & Johnson, founded in 1886, is one of the leading manufacturers of healthcare products, as well as a provider of related services for the consumer, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices and diagnostics markets. It has over 200 offices in 57 countries and sells its products throughout the world.

Abbott Pharma is a global, diversified company, which is involved in the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of healthcare products and services.

Around the world, the company provides cost-effective healthcare technologies, and it meets the needs of a constantly evolving marketplace through continuous innovation in nutritional, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and hospital related products.
