Orange has now become pink

The cellular company now has a new logo, which will have its tristars in pink with a hue of blue

Cellular brand Hutch and Orange (in Mumbai) have changed its logo. Instead of orange and white, the new logo will now use pink and blue, respectively. The tristars of the new Hutch logo will be in a bright pink colour. And this pink colour will be complemented with a secondary palette that has a hue of blues.

In addition, the Hutch brand will also be introduced into Mumbai, and also in new markets where Hutch would venture in. This will help the brand create a single universal identity across India.

The rights to use the Orange brand will revert to Orange with the introduction of Hutch in Mumbai.

Naveen Chopra, corporate vice-president, Group Marketing, Hutchison Essar says, “The idea is just to refresh and contemporise the brand. The brand Hutch was existing in all the other parts of India except Mumbai. However now we are launching the same here so that the uniformity is maintained all over. So there will be no more Orange but Hutch with its pink logo available all over the country. We also do not plan any change of strategy with the implementation of Hutch in Mumbai. It will be the same policy that we have been maintaining all these years.”

Hutch was awarded the Most Creative Advertiser at the Abby's in 2003 as well as 2004. Hutchison Essar currently operates in 13 circles with over 10.16 million customers.
