Chandradeep Mitra, president Lintas Personal and Lintas Healthcare quits
After a 14-year-long association with the agency, Chandradeep Mitra, president of Lintas Personal and Lintas Healthcare has decided to move on
Chandradeep Mitra, president of Lintas Personal and Lintas Healthcare has put in his papers. Currently, he is serving his notice period, and will move out within a week.
Though Mitra confirmed his exit from Lintas, where he has done two stints –the first for five years – and more recently, nine years long, he declined to divulge any details about his next assignment.
Mitra says, “I am moving from Lintas because I have got an interesting job offer. My association with Lintas has been professionally rewarding. And in fact, after such a long association with this company, I have also developed a strong emotional bond with it.”
Based in Mumbai, Mitra took over as the head of Lintas Personal in 2000. In 2003, he got the additional charge of heading Lintas Healthcare as well.
Prior to Lintas Personal, Mitra was vice-president at Lowe, where he handled clients like Bajaj Auto, Idea cellular, Oberoi group and Jet Airways.
Commenting on his experience, Mitra says, “The Bajaj account was really a challenge, when I was at Lowe. It was almost clear that we would lose the account, and from there we not only managed to retain the business, we were even successful in making it one of the major businesses for Lowe. I believe, this was a significant achievement in my career.”
He adds, “At Lintas Personal, we have been successful in providing some spectacular CRM (customer relationship management) solutions to clients such as HLL and Johnson & Johnson. Our initiatives in making direct marketing more interactive have also yielded positive results. We have also done path-breaking case study for coffee board of India.”
Mitra continues, “At Lintas Healthcare, we got big businesses such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Nicholas Piramal, Bristol-Myers.”
Besides Lintas, Mitra has worked with O&M, where he was the head of client servicing at Delhi and Bangalore.
After Mitra's exit, Lintas Personal will be headed by Supriyo Guha, and Lintas Healthcare by Mehul Shukla.
