Amar Wadhwa joins Publicis India as vice-president strategic planning

Amar Wadhwa has quit RK Swamy BBDO where he was general manager, strategic planning

Amar Wadhwa, general manager, strategic planning, RK Swamy BBDO, Delhi has moved to Publicis India as vice-president, strategic planning.

Wadhwa confirms his move to agencyfaqs!. He says, “It is an interesting opportunity for me. My vision and take on planning being similar to that of stalwarts such as Partha Sinha and Param Saikia worked for all of us. We are looking at installing planning as a discipline across the industry and create a planning revolution in the industry.”

He adds, “My role is cut out to ensure that strategic output on existing clients is of high value. I would also be looking at some of the new businesses.”

Wadhwa holds an MBA degree and started his career with IMRB in 1994. In 1996, he moved to Leo Burnett, where he handled client servicing and media planning for three years.

In 1998, Wadhwa moved to FCB Ulka’s strategic planning division. After a short stint there, he moved to Accenture in 2000. He finally moved to RK Swamy/BBDO in 2003.

He has worked with clients such as Indian Airlines, Sony TV, ICI Dulux, Accenture, Coke, Pepsi and Dabur, among others.
