Rajul Kulshreshtha moves from Group M to Dentsu Communications, Delhi

Hiring Kulshreshtha, who will be vice-president, media, in Delhi, is seen as a move by Dentsu Communications to be more aggressive in its media function

Rajul Kulshreshtha, general manager, Group M, Team LG, is moving on. He will be joining Dentsu Communications, Delhi, as vice-president, media. He will start by taking charge of the media operations in Delhi and Bangalore.

Sandeep Goyal, chairman, Dentsu India, comments, “Dentsu India has been concentrating on creativity since its inception here. Now, we feel that the time has come to make media our primary focus. In fact, in 2006, you can expect more muscle building on our part in that function as we have some major plans in the offing.”

“Kulshreshtha will play a crucial role in building up our media function and his appointment is a step in that direction,” adds Goyal.

For the record, Kulshreshtha started his career in 1990 at Anthem Communications. He then moved on to join Universal McCann, where he spent 11 years. After that, he helped set up Zenith Optimedia in Indonesia.

He then did a nine-month stint with CNBC in Singapore, after which he came back to India to join Group M, where he has been in charge of the Team LG operations since 2004.
