India, Mudra's specialist interactive division, has been appointed the Digital Agency On Record (AOR) for The Times of India Group.
The agency will handle the media planning, buying and creative duties in the Internet space for brands such as Timesjobs.com and Timesmatri.com.
The director of the Times Group, R Sundar, says, "We hope to share our vision on both these portals with Tribal DDB India and to leverage their expertise in making this vision a reality."
He adds, "Through Timesjobs.com and Timesmatri.com, we are in the process of redefining the manner in which recruitment and matchmaking take place in the online environment."
Commenting on why the Times Group chose Tribal DDB India, Rajeev Gaur, vice-president, Times Group, says, "What went in Tribal DDB India's favour is their understanding of the medium and operational mechanisms as well as their passion for the medium."
He continues, "Both our brands - Timesjobs.com and Timesmatri.com - are growing at an extremely fast pace and require careful nurturing, especially as far as their online communication is concerned."
Speaking about the pitch presentation, CVS Sharma, country head, Tribal DDB India, says, "Our pitch for the account was based on an innovative, ROI based media and creative strategy, which was felt to be in line with the requirements of both the brands. In our communication for the brands, we will draw on our expertise in the digital space to chalk out a winning strategy for the brands."
Rammohan Sundaram, national sales director, Tribal DDB India, elaborates on the plan for the brands. He says, "We will introduce a couple of breakthrough ideas that have never been deployed in India in our campaigns for the brands. This initiative will enable top of the mind recall for our target audience in the digital space."
For the record, Tribal DDB India is the digital interactive arm of the Mudra Group, which specialises in building brands across all forms of new media spanning the Internet, wireless and interactive kiosks.
