AAAI announces the Young Lotus Workshop for 2006

This contest offers young creative people a chance to win an exciting trip to participate in the AdFest in Pattaya

As a part of its Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) will conduct the AAAI-AdFest Young Lotus Workshop Contest 2006 for Young Creatives.

The contest is open for creative geniuses under the age of 30 and with less than five years of experience. The winners will get an opportunity to win an exciting trip to participate in the AdFest in Pattaya, one of Asia’s premier creative awards functions.

Each team will comprise of two members (one copywriter and one art director). AAAI is inviting all its member agencies to create a print ad in English on ‘Eye Donation’. Each team is allowed to send only one entry. The entries will be judged by an eminent panel, comprising the creative directors of AAAI member agencies.

The winners will be sent to participate in the AdFest Young Lotus Workshop, which is slated to be held from March 7 to 9, 2006. Following this, a conference will be held from March 9 to 11, which will be open to all the Adfest participants.

The last date for submitting entries at the AAAI office is January 13, 2006.

At Pattaya, the work produced will be judged by an international panel of judges and the winners will be announced at the Crystal Lotus Award ceremony.

The AAAI has been making serious attempts to raise the creative bar in the Indian advertising industry. Efforts are being made to encourage young creative talent and, as in the past, these have resulted in several teams of young creatives going to Cannes.

AAAI believes that this initiative will also help young creative people in their member agencies get international exposure and experience.
