Grey Worldwide appoints Hari Krishnan as Delhi branch-head
Besides overseeing the agency's operations in Delhi, Krishnan will also look at growing the business
Grey Worldwide has appointed Hari Krishnan as the general manager, and branch head of Delhi office. Krishnan will oversee the Delhi operations and will also be responsible for growing the business. The position has been lying vacant since Samir Verma quit in mid-2005.
Though for past 8-9 months, Ashutosh Khanna, chief operating officer, India, Grey Worldwide has been overseeing Delhi operations.
Krishnan had joined Grey in 2003 as client services director. On his new appointment, he says, “My agenda is to motivate our team, which comprises young people and focus on improving the creative output. The idea is to get recognition for the brand by showcasing good creative work.”
Commenting on Krishnan's appointment, Ashutosh Khanna, says, “Krishnan has done a commendable job over time. He started off on Samsung Home Appliances, but has since seamlessly grown and nurtured most of the Delhi clients and the entire Delhi team. His leadership skills have been demonstrated time and again.”
Narrating his experience with some of the brands, Krishnan says, “Working on Samsung Home appliances has been a memorable experience. There was a commitment to the strategy that was based on the platform of `Tumse Hai Zindagi...' and the entire team was enthused by it.”
He continues, “Another campaign that I am proud being part of is that of ONGC, when the company was announced as the Greenest company by a survey. As a client, ONGC has always encouraged out-of-the-box thinking, and having an innovative approach. For this particular campaign, we coloured the masthead of all leading newspaper into green.”
Krishnan has over 13 years experience in the industry. He started his career with Anthem (now TBWA), and then moved to Clarion (now Bates Enterprise). He has worked with O&M, Delhi and then again moved to Bates before joining Grey Worldwide in September 2003. Krishnan has worked on brands including Samsung Home Appliances, ONGC, Genpact, Wrigley – Joyco, Ranbaxy, Essar, Apollo Tyres and Indiatimes among others.
