Dentsu India appoints Gullu Sen as vice-chairman

Sen will play an important role in the growth of Dentsu agencies in India

Gullu Sen has been appointed as the vice-chairman of Dentsu India. Sen has been with the agency since its launch in 2003 as the executive vice-president and national creative director of Dentsu. Based in Delhi, Sen will play a key role in the growth of Dentsu's agencies in India.

Commenting on Sen's new role, Sandeep Goyal, chairman, Dentsu India, says, “Sen is a person of ideas and among the few personalities on whom one can rely upon for high quality and cutting edge creative output. He brings with him maturity, exposure and energy to Dentsu's future plans and will be playing a much greater role in days to come ”

Goyal describes Sen's works as large hearted and being capable of taking brands into geometric growth.

Goyal continues, “As a leader, Sen is a rare blend of hands-on training and constructive mentoring. Clients have immense faith in him, both for his mature advice and his break-through creative thinking.”

In his career spanning two decades, Sen has worked on over 300 campaigns. He has been highly acclaimed for his works and has even fetched global awards. Some of his work include, Airtel (including the famous AR Rehman commercial), Maruti (including the ever fresh Ladakh Gypsy commercial), Colgate (the turn-around Mera Colgate campaign) and more recently, he had conceptualised and created the Toyota Innova campaign featuring actor Aamir Khan.

Before joining Dentsu in 2003, Sen was national creative director at Rediffusion DY&R. He began his career in 1984 at HTA. He has also worked at Grey (then Trikaya Grey) and Mudra's Interact Vision.
