'Global services' launched internationally

Cybermedia and CMP Media have come together to release ‘Global Services’, a magazine aimed at outsourcing professionals and clients

CMP-CyberMedia LLC has launched its first collaborated issue of ‘Global Services’ in the international market. The magazine is aimed at customers of outsourced ITO and BPO services in India, the US and Western Europe.

Hoshie Ghaswalla, managing director, CMP CyberMedia LLC, says, “Our magazine will facilitate global service delivery for customers and service providers of outsourcing services on the one hand, and also provide cost-effective marketing solutions to the service providers of the BPO and ITO industry.”

‘Global Services’ covers news and industry trends, research backed analysis, surveys, customer issues and expert views. The first issue carries a special report on the world’s most innovative providers for BPO and ITO services across 15 countries, including the US, China and India.

Expert views from neutral representatives of the industry are a major attraction of the magazine. The first issue features Michael F Corbett of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals; Rita Terdiman and Debashish Sinha of Conscient Partners; Joe Fernandes and Nikhil Rajpal of the Everest Group; Atul Vashistha of neoIT; and Paul Schmidt and Jim Hussey of TPI, among others.

Pramiti Bhargava, product manager, CMP CyberMedia LLC, adds, “The magazine targets 85-90 per cent readers from outside India, with circulation figures of 41,000 copies globally.”

Priced at Rs 250 in India and $9.99 in the US, and printed in both India and the US, how will the magazine be marketed? Bhargava maintains, “’Global Services’ reaches a focused audience. Our marketing efforts are going to be one-on-one, be it events, seminars or innovative direct interactions. Our readers are qualified readers, arrived at through a stringent process by CMP, which is a benchmark in itself. Very few Indian media publications can match this level.”

When asked why the group has launched the magazine now, when outsourcing has been a trend since the beginning of the millennium, Bhargava says, “Both CMP and CyberMedia are industry leaders and have been covering outsourcing since it started through their other products such as Managing Offshore, Global Outsourcing and bpOrbit for the domain. However, the new magazine will give a streamlined focus to provide a brand for the customers of global technology and business services and a cost-effective communication avenue for suppliers. Our key objective is to facilitate global services delivery.”
