and teenage heartthrob Irfan Pathan will soon be seen endorsing Gillette Vector Plus. He is the first brand ambassador for the shaving brand. According to executives at Gillette India, Pathan matches well with the brand values of Gillette Vector Plus.
They believe that his match-winning performances, determination to give the best to his team and his 'self-made man' status are all qualities that mirror the brand values of Gillette Vector Plus, which stands for giving consumers the confidence of looking their best and facing each day with renewed enthusiasm.
The tagline for the campaign will be 'Jeet ka Ehsaas (The Feeling of Victory)'. The product is priced at Rs 49.
Sumeet Narang, regional business manager, blades and razors, Gillette India, Pakistan and South Asia, comments, "Gillette Vector Plus has been designed and developed especially to suit the needs of the Indian market, so that every Indian male has access to the Gillette quality shaving experience at an affordable price."
According to Narang, Pathan and the brand have several factors in common. While Pathan stands for victory, Gillette Vector Plus stands for unmatched shaving quality. What Pathan is to honesty, the brand is to affordability.
"Another point that is common is smartness, which translates into the brand value of a great clean shaven look. And the fact that Pathan is a self-made man goes well with the fact that our brand has been made especially for India."
Pathan's contract with Gillette India entails close association with the brand, including a television and print campaign. Pathan will also participate in certain promotional activities for the brand.
