Ad Club, Bangalore, will
host its annual Big Bang Awards for creativity in the city on March 24. The ceremony will be held at the Bangalore Palace. Arvind Kumar, president, Ad Club, Bangalore, promises more action at the awards ceremony this time.
"We have increased the scale of operations in order to make this a larger than ever before function," he says. "We have received around 600 entries, mainly from the South region, but also some from Mumbai and New Delhi. We expect around 1,000 people from the advertising fraternity to be present at the ceremony."
Ad Club, Bangalore, had, in fact, stopped hosting the awards for a period of two years. In Kumar's words, "The committee members were not very proactive back then. But with the change of the committee in 2004, we resumed the awards ceremony."
The Big Bang Awards recognise and reward the best of creativity in different aspects of advertising. Last year, JWT bagged the coveted 'Agency of the Year' award. This year, there will be a total of 37 categories. The awards will be partnered by agencyfaqs!.
