The agency has opened a new office in Chandigarh; Lucknow and Mumbai are next in the pipeline

Noshe Oceanic, the

Delhi based advertising agency which started operations in 1989, is looking beyond the Capital. It has just started a new branch in Chandigarh, and hopes to set up more branches in Lucknow and Mumbai.

Anupama Mehrotra, vice president, Noshe Oceanic Pvt. Ltd, says, "Our main forte is retail, which is growing by leaps and bounds beyond Delhi. So, we plan to go beyond Delhi and offer a new platform to reach consumers."

The Chandigarh office will be headed by Sunil Babu, who has 15-18 years' experience in the advertising industry. He has worked with Sobhagya Advertising in Hyderabad and Apex Advertising in Jaipur.

Vidushi Batra will be the assistant branch head. Batra used to work in the marketing department of 'First City' magazine.

Mehrotra says, "Chandigarh was a new set-up altogether and we needed someone who was balanced enough to carry out the responsibility. Sunil has had the experience of heading a new agency in Jaipur and we chose him because he loves challenges. Vidushi, on the other hand, is not from a hardcore advertising background, but her know-how of the advertising business is extensive."

About establishing a foothold in Chandigarh, Babu says, "We are in the process of arranging meetings with the retailers. I hope it works out well for us."

The agency is also eyeing the Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai markets for expansion.

According to Mehrotra, Noshe Oceanic is growing by about 50-70 per cent every year and, last year, it registered a turnover of about Rs 35 crore.
