has joined Mediaturf as the branch head for Bangalore. Prior to this, he worked with Cyber India Online Ltd (CIOL) as regional key account manager in Bangalore. His mandate will be to evaluate the overall profits and losses for the Bangalore branch of Mediaturf.
Varshney has 11 years of working experience in the hospitality, telecom and media industry and is a hotel management graduate from IISM, Ranchi. He worked with Nirula's, a well-known chain of fast-food restaurants in New Delhi, as a restaurant manager for around one and a half years. After this, he switched industries completely and joined Mobile Mantra Pvt. Ltd, a Delhi based company that provides mobile messaging solutions, as business development manager. Varshney later went on to head regional sales for CIOL in the Bangalore and Mumbai markets, where he worked with clients such as IBM, Wipro, Dell, Lenovo, Acer and AMD.
Varshney says, "Being a hotel management graduate and venturing into a completely new industry was something that was extremely challenging in my life. When I joined Mobile Mantra, I had to prove my potential in an entirely different field. But eventually, it turned out to be a success for me."
