Sage India, a & #BANNER1 & # part of the Sage Group, has launched the Sage CRM SalesLogix software in an effort to aid advertising sales teams at various media houses, including television channels, newspapers and magazines. The software has been developed by Firsteservice India. STAR News and Aaj Tak use this software currently.
The software will help ad sales people manage their dealings with media buying agencies as well as clients. Some of the benefits offered by the software include customer profiling, through which one can have a central repository of all customers, prospects, agencies, media buying houses and other key contacts. Similarly, a history of all interactions (such as notes on discussions, e-mails, proposals and decisions taken) can be maintained.
The software will also help establish the relationships of various brands and the relevant agencies, thus ensuring effective management of a two-way selling process. In addition, it will facilitate media budget planning, that is, establish the budgets available across different media and competitors, thereby making it easy to position the company's offering effectively. The rate card can also be automated to ensure consistency and standardisation of offerings.
Other benefits include proposal generator (automate the proposal generation process at the click of a button), sales target management (manage sales targets and track actual performance), effective information on deals (maintain details of the final proposal and release orders, which enables one to track business done against commitments made) and management reports (revenues generated by sales person, activity reports for sales team, business forecast by sales person and budget achievements).
