Vyas Giannetti Creative bags Air Mauritius

The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 12-15 crore

In a multi-agency pitch, Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC) has bagged the advertising duties for the airline brand, Air Mauritius. The pitch was a two-month process and the names of the other agencies could not be ascertained. The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 12-15 crore. VGC will take care of the creative and media duties for the business.

Apart from advertising Air Mauritius on a national level, VGC will also see to some part of its international advertising. It is learnt that Air Mauritius has not been advertised for the past two years, except for some basic level promotional activities.

Conforming this win to agencyfaqs!, Atul Hegde, vice-president, Vyas Giannetti Creative, says, “Mauritius is a luxury destination. The client was essentially looking for an agency that was fluent with the lifestyle and luxury language. As we already do the advertising for lifestyle brands such as Discovery Travel & Living, Taj Hotels and the Park Group of Hotels, we were able to reach the depths of the communication needs of the client quite easily.”

Because this development is still at a nascent stage, the media mix is yet to be decided.

For the record, Air Mauritius flies some 850,000 passengers to about 30 destinations in more than 85 cities across the globe in accordance with international service standards.
