Purnendu Bose bids adieu to SaharaOne

Purnendu Bose, the COO of SaharaOne has quit after setting up and consolidating the programming for the channel. He is on a two-week break before getting back to the business

chief operating officer, Purnendu Bose has quit the channel. Yesterday, was his last day at SaharaOne. Bose says that he had been contemplating on quitting for quite some time.

He was waiting to set up the channel and give it the required impetus, before leaving. "The channel is in a critical expansion spree right now. I was waiting for the channel to take off and it has with new properties such as 'Superstars'" says Bose.

He was instrumental in giving the channel a whole new look and new positioning with 'Televsion Ka Naya Rang' and various programmes. He is undecided about where he will go next. He now wants to 'chase his dreams'. And before that will take a two weeks break.

He joined Sahara One in April last year. Prior to that, he was the chief operating officer with Hungama TV. Bose has also worked with STAR Network in the past as vice-president- special projects.
