Piyush Pandey nominated to Ogilvy Worldwide board

Pandey’s nomination to the Ogilvy Worldwide board comes three years after he was inducted into Ogilvy's Worldwide Creative Council

Piyush Pandey, chairman and national creative director, Ogilvy & Mather India, has been elected to the Ogilvy Worldwide board. Three years ago, Pandey was inducted to Ogilvy’s Worldwide Creative Council. He is also the first Asian ever to have served as president of the Cannes jury.

Shelly Lazarus, chairman & CEO, O&M Worldwide, says, “Pandey’s creative leadership is well respected, and he brings another creative voice to the board. We look forward to his contributions.”

Asked how this development will change his mandate, Pandey says, “Three years ago, when I was made a part of Ogilvy’s Worldwide Creative Council, we had this aim of helping raise the creative standards of Ogilvy worldwide.”

“What the Worldwide board does is guide the businesses and policies of the network. So for me, it’s more of an expansion in my role, really,” he adds.

Pandey will now be among the key members who decide in which direction the Ogilvy network should be going. Being a part of the board now means that Pandey will be among those who strategise on how to contribute in a stronger manner to grow brands for the agency’s clientele worldwide.
