Kerala Tourism empanels three agencies for its advertising duties

The three agencies are Crayons Advertising, Beehive Communications and Stark Communications. There will be a separate roster of agencies for online events

Following a national-level pitch, which saw the participation of around 25 advertising agencies, Kerala Tourism has empanelled three agencies for its advertising duties for a period of three years.

The three agencies on the roster are Crayons Advertising, Beehive Communications and Stark Communications, the last of which has been handling this business for 10 years now.

The size of the business is estimated to be Rs 12-13 crore. All three agencies will handle the entire advertising and marketing for Kerala Tourism.

“The new campaign will be an innovative, path-breaking one and will take a refreshing approach to tourism communication. I am certain that this will go a long way to inspire the new age traveller who seeks to experience a slice of life of the destination in which he holidays. The campaign will further enhance Kerala’s position as the most upscale destination in this part of the world,” says Swarup BR, creative director of Stark.

Meanwhile, Kerala Tourism has hired separate agencies for events and online media.

Stark Expo, Wizcraft and BEI Hues will specifically handle events. One of them will handle events such as the Malabar Travel Mart and the India International Boat Festival. Smaller events such as the World Travel Mart, which needs less than a month’s preparation, will be handled by one of the other three agencies, Crayons, Beehive and Stark.

For online media, the tourism organisation has hired RKSwamy/BBDO’s Digital Direction and Media Turf. Kerala Tourism is still to decide on the empanelled agencies for local publicity.
