D Rajappa takes over from Mahesh Chauhan as president, Everest Brand Solutions

Chauhan recently quit Everest to join sister concern Rediffusion DY&R as its president

When Mahesh Chauhan, president, Everest Brand Solutions quit the agency last week to join sister concern Rediffusion DY&R as its president, speculations were rife as to who would take over from him.

His position at Everest will now be taken up by D Rajappa, who was heading Rediffusion DY&R Sri Lanka since 2003 as its CEO. In a way, there has been an interchange of positions within the group.

Rajappa has been in the advertising industry for the last 18 years. He began his career in 1988 with McCann, New Delhi and moved on to Interact Vision, before joining Rediffusion DY&R in 1994. Having spent over twelve years with the agency, Rajappa has managed some of its prestigious clientele including Airtel and GPI. In 2003, Rajappa assumed the role of CEO, Rediffusion DY&R, Sri Lanka.

Commenting on his new role, Rajappa, says, “For me, Everest is an exciting and a dynamic brand and is set to grow further in future. We hope to build on this foundation and make Everest a force to reckon with in the years to come.”
