Nina Elavia Jaipuria, V-P, marketing and communications, Sony Entertainment Television, has put in her papers to join Nick as its India Head. She replaces Hema Govindan at Nick

Nina Elavia Jaipuria, vice-president, marketing and communications, SET India, has put in her papers. She will be joining Nick India as vice-president and general manager. At Nick, she takes over from Hema Govindan who quit the channel in August this year, due to personal reasons.

Jaipuria confirmed her move to Nick, saying that she accepted this opportunity to nurture her career further. She will be reporting to Amit Jain, who is the managing director, MTV Networks India, and executive vice-president, MTV Networks Asia.

She has been with Sony Entertainment Television for the past three years. While there, she was involved in launching various successful properties such as ‘Indian Idol’, ‘Fame Gurukul’ and ‘Fear Factor’. Prior to Sony, she has worked with companies such as BPL Telecom, Colgate and Lintas.

For the record, it was only a month back that SET’s senior vice-president and head, on-air programming, Anupama Mandloi had quit the organisation.
