has quit as president of Initiative India to join Active International. Iyer is joining Active as director, media services, and he will be responsible for the media practices of the company.
Active International, a media specialist, has been in the media business for the last 22 years and recently announced the launch of its operations in India in a joint venture with Aeren R Enterprises. For the first time in the country, Active International India will provide solutions that leverage the underperforming assets of companies to create tailored financial solutions for them to meet their business needs. It has been operating in various countries across the Americas, Europe and Australia and this is its first foray into Asia.
George Blunt, chief executive officer, Active International India, says, "It is good to have someone as talented as Iyer on board with us. Media is the engine of our business and Kartik brings with him immense expertise and more than a decade of experience in the fast-evolving Indian media industry."
Iyer has been associated with the Lintas group for over 10 years. He says, "It is an exciting opportunity. The concept of providing direct, bottom-line improving solutions was what excited me the most about the business model of Active International. I hope to tailor solutions to the needs of Indian corporates to enable healthier bottom-lines. In this endeavour, we will be partnering with all the constituents of business, especially media houses and agencies, to ensure the clients great solutions."
