NDTV launches job portal

This will be another vertical from ndtv.com in addition to the portals it has on gadgets, travel and shopping

NDTV has launched a new vertical on jobs, which is powered by Yellojobs.com. This is yet another vertical from the company, which already has portals on gadgets, travel and shopping.

NDTV gets into the job portal scene a few months after its competitor, TV18, acquired jobstreet.com.

ndtvjobs.com will cater to the needs of young and well-educated job aspirants. The portal will accept job postings from those possessing at least a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum annual salary of Rs 1,50,000 per annum.

The portal has a section called Boot Camp, which lists the training courses, seminars and other events that are held at India’s premier management institutes spread across India.

In addition to the basic sections, NDTV has added a section called Career Blogs. This section will help jobseekers with information, studies, news and interviews, business studies and other related stuff. This section will carry interviews of professionals in the business and in the recruitment industry.

Jobseekers and visitors to the website will have the option of browsing jobs either by industry or occupation. There is also the option of an advanced search by keying in details related to industry, occupation, location and age.
