Artemis Health Sciences scouts for ad agency

Artemis Health Sciences is promoted by the Onkar S Kanwar-controlled PTL Enterprises, which also owns Apollo Tyres. In April 2007, it will launch its first 500-bed hospital in Gurgaon. Over time, AHS will set-up an all-India network of similar healthcare units

The Onkar S Kanwar-controlled PTL Enterprises has launched a new healthcare company called Artemis Health Sciences (AHS). AHS will research and develop medical devices and also manufacture them. It plans to set up hospitals across the country, the first of which is to be launched in Gurgaon in the NCR (National Capital Region) in April 2007.

AHS is now on the lookout for a creative agency. This has been confirmed to agencyfaqs! by Anas Wajid, head, sales and marketing, AHS.

Although the business is quite small at the moment, AHS plans to increase its ad spends as it expands its network of hospitals across India. Initially, it has allocated a budget of Rs 2-2.5 crore for advertising.

AHS also plans to hire a media agency and call for a media pitch a little later.

The presentations for the creative pitch are on currently. Six leading agencies of Delhi participated in the first round of presentations. Two of these agencies will be short-listed for the second round of presentations.

Wajid says, “Our objective is to position the upcoming hospital as a brand that possesses state of the art and high tech facilities. Patients should see it as a place where we partner with them in their treatment. For this, we want completely transparent communication, which brings alive our qualities and unique offering.”

AHS will use television in the first phase of its communication in addition to the optimum use of press, outdoor, radio and below-the-line activities such as seminars, personal meetings and direct communication.
