Solutions, a 100 per cent-owned subsidiary of Deccan Chronicle Holdings, has brought Varun Kohli on board as vice-president, revenue, India. He moves in from 'Amar Ujala', where he was AVP, sales and marketing.
Seiger Solutions was launched in September this year to look into marketing, sales and 360-degree activities for the group.
Kohli shall join Seiger Solutions by mid-December. His mandate would be to look into the revenue operations, though his focus will not simply be print sales.
On Kohli's appointment, Debraj Tripathy, CEO, Sieger Solutions, says, "In Kohli, we found the perfect blend of experience and enthusiasm, and therefore such a decision".
Kohli has an experience of 13 years in media sales, and has been in the field since day one. He started his career with 'Indian Express', where he worked for two years, and went on to work for 'Hindustan Times' for three-and-a-half years. He also had short stints at Zee and 'Dainik Bhaskar'.
After that, he spent two years at 'Hindustan'. He finally shifted to 'Amar Ujala', from where he has moved on to join Seiger. He spent three-and-a-half years at 'Amar Ujala', and was instrumental in setting up a separate team for 360-degree solutions as part of its marketing division.
Seiger Solutions is on a recruitment spree, and on that front, Tripathi adds, "We are in the process of strengthening the team across markets. We are recruiting a few more senior resources, some of whom will be based in Hyderabad, where Sieger Solutions is headquartered."
