Radio Mirchi gets Pepsi, Coca Cola India executives on board as station directors

Pepsi India’s Mahesh Shetty and Coca Cola’s Sriram Kilambi have joined Radio Mirchi as station directors for Chennai and Kolkata, respectively

Radio Mirchi has roped in two middle-level executives from Pepsi and Coca Cola India to fill in as station directors for Chennai and Kolkata.

The two professionals are Mahesh Shetty and Sriram Kilambi. Shetty who was general manager, on-premise sales, Pepsi India will be the station director for Radio Mirchi, Chennai. Shetty has spent around 10 years at Pepsi.

Kilambi, who was general manager at Coca Cola India, will be responsible for the Kolkata station. Kilambi has been with the sales and marketing function of Coca Cola India for the last seven years.

As station directors, their mandate will be to deal with operational activities of the brand such as sales, marketing, finance, programming initiatives, technical aspects, HR in their respective cities and other expansion plans as well.

The present station directors in these cities, Anand Parameswaran in Chennai and Nipun Bharadwaj in Kolkata, will be hereafter handle bigger roles and national-level assignments.

Talking about the appointments, Prashant Panday, deputy CEO, Radio Mirchi, says, “As part of our expansion plans, we are hiring people professionals with the objective of putting together the best team in the business.”
