Malaysian Media Congress to be held this April

The Malaysian Media Congress (MMC) is an annual gathering of more than 500 media pundits, industry special¬ists and key media decision makers

The Malaysian Media Congress (MMC) is scheduled to be held this year on April 2 and 3 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. MMC is a yearly gathering of more than 500 media veterans, industry professionals and decision makers from fields spanning media, marketing, branding and advertising.

This year, MMC will focus on ‘digital convergence’. Eminent speakers will deliberate on opportunities in the changing media scenario and about factors such as amalgamation of media like voice, print, video and data formats that have been made possible by digital technol¬ogy.

The speakers have been roped in from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and India. Among them are Mahesh Murthy, founder, Pinstorm; Gaurav Bhasin, managing director, Universal McCann, Malaysia; Linda Locke, regional creative director, Leo Burnett; and Ho Kay Tat, group editor-in-chief, NexNews.

MMC will also conduct panel discussions to encourage debate among the panelists and participants, and to facilitate a mature and nuanced understand¬ing of how much or how little conver¬gence affects commu¬nications.

MMC is open to all professionals working in media, marketing, advertising, newspapers, television and outdoor. This year, it will also offer booths for media owners to display and demonstrate their new product offerings.
