Manoj Dawane appointed CEO of Mauj Telecom

Dawane has 15 years’ experience in the industry, and will look after the day-to-day business at the company

Mauj Telecom, a mobile VAS (value added services) company of the People Group, has appointed Manoj Dawane chief executive officer. Dawane was earlier heading the Western UP and Uttaranchal circles of Bharti Airtel. He has 15 years’ experience in the telecom and software industry.

In a statement, Anupam Mittal, CMD of the People Group, said, “Within a short span, Mauj Telecom has carved a significant niche for itself in India in the mobile value added services industry. As we scale to the next level, operational excellence, disruptive innovation, and an unflinching focus on discovering customer needs is what we will need to distinguish ourselves. Manoj’s vast experience in the telecom and software industries in senior marketing and operational roles will be a key asset in this strategy.”

Dawane will look after the operational aspect of the business at Mauj Telecom. He will work closely with the senior management, especially for the company’s international expansion plans. Mauj Telecom is one of the country’s largest players in the VAS segment and has a presence in mobile content such as music ringtones, gaming, and video.
