Deven Sansare joins Umbrella as creative director

Sansare has experience of 14 years in the advertising field

The Bhupal Ramnathkar owned Umbrella has appointed Deven Sansare creative director. Sansare moves here from Graphiti Multimedia, an animation house run by Ram Mohan, where he used to develop animated content for kids’ programmes.

Sansare will head the creative function at Umbrella, but will be primarily responsible for the copy function.

He has an instrumental knowledge of understanding brands and client relationships, which the agency will leverage.”

Sansare has 14 years’ experience in the advertising industry. He started his career in advertising in 1993 as a trainee copywriter with Interact Vision, Mudra’s second agency. In November 1993, he moved to Contract Advertising as junior copywriter. After seven years, he moved out as creative director. Along with being appointed creative director at Contract, Mumbai, he also looked after the creative work done by Contract, Bangalore.

Towards the end of 2000, following Ram Sehgal’s move out of Contract to Everest, Sansare was invited to take over as vice-president, creative, at Everest. He accepted the offer and was put in charge of the creative business being done out of the Mumbai and Delhi offices. He was with Everest for two and a half years.

In 2003, Sansare joined Euro RSCG, Mumbai, as vice-president, creative. During his three year stint at Euro RSCG, he took over as vice-president and creative director for the Delhi branch for two and a half months from July to September 2004. From September 2004 to December 2005, he assumed charge as vice-president at Euro RSCG, Mumbai. Graphiti Multimedia came his way last year.

During his career, Sansare has worked on brands such as Bharat Petroleum, Globus Fashion Store, SAB TV, Parle Biscuits and Confectionaries, Parle Frooti, AT&T, Honda Scooters, Emirates, Bagpiper Whisky, Romanov Vodka, Red & White Cigarettes, Getit Yellow Pages, Philips Lighting, Denim, Live-in Lites Khakis, VIP Undergarments, Cadbury Picnic and Milk Treat Chocolates, eindia.com, National Dairy Development Board, Himalaya Drugs, Traffic Police, Gulf Oil and Camlin Pencils.
