Travel Biz Monitor is the new weekly magazine aimed at the travel industry; its portal will be TravelBizMonitor.com
Saffron Media Pvt. Ltd, a sister concern of the Adfactors Group, has launched ‘Travel Biz Monitor’, a weekly magazine, and www.travelbizmonitor.com, a portal aimed at the $40-billion travel and tourism industry in India.
The magazine and portal are aimed at not the just travel and allied professionals such as tour operators and the hospitality industry, but also government bodies like the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and the various tourism boards. The magazine will be available only by subscription, at a cover price of Rs 40. The portal will be updated daily for news on the industry.
Santwan says that more interactive features will be added on the portal by September, including blogs for addressing industry issues and newsletters. While a few publications on the travel and tourism industry exist, like DDP Publications’ ‘TravTalk’ and The Indian Express Group’s ‘Express TravelWorld’, a B2B portal for the sector was missing. According to Santwan, the portal will be a voice for the travel industry and will try to address issues concerning it.
