Partha Sinha
Publicis India has already been handling the Aviva brand for the last three years. But this is the first time Aviva will be communicating at an Asia level through an advertising agency. The media duties for the business lie with Zenith Optimedia in India. The media agency for Asia region has not been decided yet. The size of the advertising spends for Asia region lie in the region of Rs 24 crore-32 crore for 2007.

Publicis India will lead the business as a regional hub team for the four markets. The mandate for the agency will be to enhance brand awareness for Aviva across the four markets by building a uniform and relevant brand platform. Commenting on the win, Partha Sinha, regional strategist, Publicis APAC, says, "We approached this assignment in a unique way. Rather than using conventional consumer insights we focused more on the social insights for each region."

Nakul Chopra
Nakul Chopra, CEO and managing director, Publicis India, says, "Publicis shares a special relationship with Aviva in India, based on solid partnership and proven results. Now, we will have the opportunity to further extend this relationship through APAC region."

The media mix for the business still has to be worked out in detail. The first campaign will roll out across markets by July 2007.
