It's like a
second home-coming at the agency for Anil Verma, who has been appointed executive creative director at Mudra, Mumbai. This is his second stint at the agency after his time there in 2002. He moves from Contract Advertising, Delhi where he was creative director.
Reporting to Bobby Pawar, national creative director, Mudra, Verma shall strengthen the senior creative team at Mudra. Bobby Pawar had this to say on Anil's appointment, "I am confident Verma will bring a lot to the table. His experience and background are a good fit with what our clients here need."
Verma has an experience of 12 years in the advertising industry. With a background in fine arts, he started his career in O&M, Delhi in 1995 as art director. He moved out in 1999 to join as creative supervisor at Rediffusion DY&R. After a year, he joined TBWA as creative group head, where he stayed for two years.
In July 2002, Verma joined Mudra, Delhi as creative director. He moved out in September 2004, following which Everest Brand Solutions, Delhi happened. He was creative director there, as well. He stepped out of Everest in February, 2006, to join Contract, where he had a short stint of approximately a year and a half.
On his appointment, Verma, said, "I have some fond memories of my first stint at Mudra and it feels like coming back to my family and home. I have also worked with Pawar previously and I am sure I can look forward to a good experience with him once again."
During his career, he has worked on brands such as BBC World, Duracell, Discovery, American Express, Nokia, GPI, Electrolux, McDonald's, Dainik Jagran, Samsung CTV, Dabur, Yamaha, Taj Group of Hotels, Canon, Maruti, Maxima Watches, Hitachi, Aaj-Tak, Dominos and NIIT. Verma has also won awards at the Abby's, the New York Festival and the Goa Fest.First Published : June 27, 2007
