Nirvik Singh gets additional responsibility of CEO, G2, Asia Pacific

Singh, president, South and South East Asia, Grey Global Group, has been shouldered with an additional responsibility. Apart from the role that he serves at Grey, he has been appointed CEO of the group's specialised marketing agency, G2, for the Asia Pacific region. He will report to Joe Celia, vice chairman, Grey Group, and chairman and CEO, G2 Worldwide in his new assignment. As president, South and South East Asia, Grey, he shall also report to Mike Amour, chairman and CEO, Grey Group, Asia Pacific.

Singh started his career with Lipton in 1985, where he was deputy manager, tea leaves. In two years, he moved to JWT as account executive, he left the agency in 1989 as account supervisor. Thereafter, began his career with Grey, Kolkata, where he was made in charge of the branch's operations within a year of his joining.

Since then, there's no looking back for Singh; he got designated as COO, Grey, India in 1997, within a year he was made managing director. In 2000, he went on to become managing COO, Grey, South Asia. In 2005, he was elevated to president, Grey, South and South East Asia, wherein he was to oversee Grey's operations in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Indo-China, besides India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. In all, Singh has been with Grey for 18 years now.

Under his leadership, Grey Vietnam also took birth, as a joint venture with a local company in Vietnam.

G2 eyes Asia as a massive growth opportunity for the marketing services segment, and keeping that in mind, in his new capacity, Singh's objective would be to live up to the mission of G2, of becoming a lead full service activation marketing network in the South Eastern region.

Commenting on the appointment, Joe Celia, vice chairman, Grey Group, and chairman and CEO, G2 Worldwide "I am confident that Nirvik's proven ability to lead, grow business, and inspire others, will enable us to build on the momentum that we have already established in the region. He's off to a good start. Last month we closed on our first major acquisition, Star Echo, in China, and he's got more coming."
