INX Network has launched new logos for its channels 9X, NewsX and 9XM

INX Network

has revealed the logos for its three channels - the Hindi general entertainment channel 9X, the Hindi youth music channel 9XM, and NewsX, the English news channel.

The logos have a graphic relationship to each other and also convey the distinct personalities of each of the channels, say executives from INX. 9X is shown to be dynamic, contemporary and passionate, while the M of 9XM has a youthful and irreverent attitude with the flexibility to change character. The logo of NewsX connotes uncompromising clarity and strength with a unique and modern style, executives from the network add.

English & Pockett has developed the logos and identities for 9X and 9XM. The company is known for developing visual identities for global media, entertainment and sports organisations such as Disney and UEFA Champions League.

Red Bee Media, which works mainly with the BBC, has created the NewsX logo.

Anthony Pettifer, INX Media's group director, brand and communications, says, "The idea behind the new logos was to create iconic symbols that will break through the clutter and have a strong brand presence that appeals to people from all walks of life."

INX Network believes that the new logo places the channels' content in the right perspective - dynamic, warm and emotional, connecting with the evolving sensibilities of contemporary Indian families.

The launch of all three channels is planned in the last quarter of 2007.
