Solutions (TBS), which owns brands such as MagicBricks.com, SimplyMarry.com, and TimesJobs.com, is scouting around for a media agency. Earlier, in 2006, TBS had appointed mediaedge:cia as its media agency.

Sources have informed agencyfaqs! that TBS has decided to set aside a budget of Rs 45 crore for its media duties. This expenditure is not significantly different from the previous year's media spends.

Four agencies are known to be a part of the pitch process. While mediaedge:cia is known to be defending its turf, the other agencies in the fray are Starcom, Dentsu Media and ZenithOptimedia.

At present, the creative duties for TBS are being handled by Mudra Communications. TBS seems to be quite content with Mudra's work at the moment. In the past few months, the agency has done some credible work for the TBS brands. It was instrumental in re-branding TimesMatri.com as SimplyMarry.com. It has also launched various campaigns for TimesJobs.com and Magicbricks.com.

The pitch process is under way and TBS will settle on a suitable agency by the end of this month.
